Research Fees
Our archives are accessible to anyone conducting research. Visits are free of charge. We ask that you call or email the museum ahead of time so we can set up a time for you to conduct your research that works for you and our staff. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Scanned Images
If an image must be scanned from the original negative, a handling fee of $5.00 per image will be added to the initial scanned image fee.

Photographic Reproductions
Please note—For all print requests, a $30 charge will be added to invoice for the cost of having negative reproduction of the print if one is required. If an image must be scanned from the original negative, a handling fee of $5.00 per image will be added to the initial reproduction fee. All images that are 11” x 14” or larger are drymounted to preserve the integrity of the image. Shipping and handling costs will be added to the invoice.

All orders must be Pre-Paid.
Cash, and Cheques are accepted at the discretion of Archival staff.
Terms
The Valemount Historic Society reserves the right to refuse permission for photographic reproduction. Publication and commercial use fees are not required for research or private study, for use in theses or student papers or projects, for use by societies incorporated under the BC Society Act as a non-profit group (proof will be required) or for use in local media (newspaper articles, community cable or TV news broadcasts). Permission fees are in addition to the original image fee.
† Fees for reproductions intended for retail sale will be determined on a per case basis
†† Covers both French and English language publication rights
††† Handling fees may increase if cost of material surpasses the initial fee. Motion picture reproductions are determined on a per case basis.
